THE U of A RINGETTE TEAM ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS FOR THE 2011/2012 SEASON AFTER WINNING THE GOLD MEDAL AT THE CANADIAN UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE CUP IN LONDON!!

THE U of A ACHIEVED AN IMPRESSIVE 6 AND 1 RECORD IN THE ROUND ROBIN PORTION OF THE CHALLENGE CUP. AFTER DEFEATING THE UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA GEE GEES IN THE SEMI-FINALS, THE U of A TEAM DEFEATED THE MT. ROYAL UNIVERSITY CANADIANS 4 to 1 TO WIN THE GOLD! 

THE U of A HAS ATTENDED THE CANADIAN UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE CUP ON 8 PREVIOUS OCCASSIONS, HAVING WON BRONZE AND SILVER PREVIOUSLY, BUT 2012 MARKED THE FIRST TIME A CHAMPIONSHIP GOLD FINISH WAS ACHIEVED!!

THE 2012 UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE CUP FEATURED 14 UNIVERSITY TEAMS FROM ACROSS CANADA VYING FOR SUPREMACY OVER THE COURSE OF 5 DAYS IN LONDON.

Ringette Scores On Cancer, hosted by the University of Alberta Ringette Team, happened at West Edmonton Mall, January 27 - 29, 2012. This is the 3rd year that this hugely popular event was hosted by the U of A Ringette Team. Novice through Tween divisions were being hosted.

Ringette Scores On Cancer raised  $97,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation!!

The U of A Ringette Team celebrated 8 years of existence with the completion of the 2010/2011 season. Through the creative genius of #26 Jill Peters, a series of timeline posters (see links below) were created to commemorate the events and happenings during the Team's 2003 - 2011 years. Please be patient, the timeline files are fairly large and take a few moments to download......but they're certainly worth the wait!!
